I am personally not a fan of the Masala Dosa here — but everything else is spot on, especially for a casual, homely South Indian meal at the right price.
Location – Just a Stone’s Throw from Mysore Zoo
The restaurant is located right next to the Mysore Zoo, making it a perfect stop after your visit. You can either walk down from the zoo or drive — and here’s something convenient: they also serve food to your car!If you are visiting by car, the staff will help you find a parking spot and even bring your order right to your window. It’s a simple, efficient system that regular visitors really appreciate.
Ambience and Dining Experience
The dining area inside is small but clean and functional. The restaurant is almost always busy — especially during weekends and holidays — so you might need to wait for a table.Despite the crowd, the staff are polite and hardworking, ensuring quick service whether you are dining in or eating in your car. The ambience isn’t fancy, but it’s the kind of lively, bustling atmosphere that’s typical of popular South Indian eateries.
Parking and Accessibility
Parking is available, and if the lot is full, the waiters or security staff will guide you to nearby spots. They are always around to help, so do not hesitate to ask if you are unsure where to park. When to Visit New Mysore Refreshments?
The best time to visit New Mysore Refreshments is for breakfast or dinner. I haven’t tried lunch here, but early mornings are ideal if you want to skip the rush and enjoy your meal peacefully.Nearby Attractions
